Hi Moms, I am hoping someone out there can help me. I am in need of a top plate denture. I had all my teeth pulled out on top over a year ago, I am tired of going without teeth. GOD has blessed me with a job, & I can now hopefully afford some teeth. I am a single parent with 2 boys, so money is an issue. I live in the Oak Cliff area so Dallas, Cedar hill, Desoto, Duncanville areas would be the best. However, if you know of a great dentist, with low cost dentures, I am willing to drive outside of these areas. Thanks in advanced for any help, Have a blessed day, T.
I dont know about the cost but in Duncanville there is a Monarch dentist that does dentures and they do a payment plan. That is where my husband is looking to get his done. Hope it helps!

I've worked in the dental field for 20 years. I don't know anyone in your area to recommend, but I will give you a few pointers. Dentures are not the answer to your problems, but a whole NEW set of problems. Even the best made dentures are not a good replacement for natural teeth. The best advice I can give you is go to a few private practice general dentists for a consultation - avoid clinics (Monarch and the like) like the plague! Ask the dental assistant about how the patients in the practice like the dentures the doctor made them when she is getting to know you. Ask friends and family if they like and would recommend their dentist. Dentures are expensive and they need to be replaced every 5-7 years. It takes several appointments over a period of 4-6 weeks to make the denture right - do NOT go to a place that makes dentures in one or two visits because they'll NEVER fit. Please don't look at the initial cost alone - cheapest is almost always the worst option, and not just in dentures!
You might check and see if the Baylor College of Dentistry in downtown Dallas can make them. Students are doing the work so it's cheaper, and they are well supervised. Congrats on the job, I applaud you for the work you do!
