I need to find a new pediatrician for my kids. Through my insurance, I've narrowed it down to 2 places and would like to get some first nad info if you go there, or have gone there, or know someone who does and would have an opinion. They are Eastgate Pediatrics and Northeast Cincinnati Pediatric Assoc. All input is welcomed!

When my girls were toddlers I always took them to the Children's Hospital Clinics. Now with all of the locations throughout the tri-state there is easier access to these great pediatricians and specialists.

I know about Eastgate Peds. I took my son there until he was three months old and will never take him back. The doctors are unpersonable, not friendly, make your questions feel like burdens, and above all, act like you're below them. I now take my soon to the Pediatric Primary Care center of Children's Hospital. They're amazing. But, you couldn't pay me to take him back to Eastgate Peds (even if the location is more convenient). Just my two cents.

J.,
I have a 13 month old daughter and started going to Northeast Ped. when my daughter was 4 months old, and we had to switch. It was the BEST switch I ever made. Dr. DuMont and Dr. Sandrock are unbelievable, and they have always been on time for every appointment. Highly recommend this place!!

I have been taking my 3 year old to Northeast perdiatrics since she was 4 months old when we moved to mason. Intially it felt like I was seeing too many doctors and felt as tho I couldn't find the one I could stick with 'coz I moved from Queen city pediatrics which was totally awesome, but after these many years I love the place. Their Emergency on call service doctor system is awesome, Saturday sick day appointments are good(esplly my daughter gets a cold followed by ear infection every other week). All the doctors are friendly and answer patiently to all the questions that I have.

J., We see Dr Borchers at Eastgate Pediatrics. We love her. We are seeing her today for my sons 5 year check up. We have only had issues with one DR in that practice. Her name starts with an S. I will see any of the other DRs for a sick visit, but DR S, but we always try to see Dr. Borchers. Good luck in your search.

I used to take my son to Northeast Cincinnati Pediatrics and I have nothing bad to say about them. We only changed because we moved from Mason to Anderson Twp and it wasn't worth the drive. I know some people who use Eastgate Peds and like it, we use Anderson Hills Peds and love it (it's right down the street from Eastgate Peds). I would decide which is closest to your home/work/childcare. I think they are all good practices. Good luck.

Dr. Leah Kirkham at Northeast Cinci Pediatrics (Blue Ash) is my son's doctor. She is wonderful. Very kind and very much a non-alarmist. She is a mom herself and is very understanding when it comes to worrying about our children. I have seen several other doctors there as well and have had a good experience with all and Marilyn the nurse practitioner is great.

North East Peds is AWESOME!! I sadly can no longer go there due to it being too far away. But I highly recommend them. For starters. If your appointment is at say 1:15....you will be seen at 1:15. They are highly attentive. They do not rush thru the appointment. My doctor was Lea Kirkam...and she is great with all ages. She also will dish with you what has and has not worked with raising her own kids. All the other docs in the practice were personable and seemed enthusiastic about their jobs. They have seperate waiting rooms for well and ill children too. (I beleive they all do at this point).
