Looking for Inexpensive Weekend Entertainment

My husband & I are starting off the new year on a healthy & budget friendly foot. We need some ideas for things we can do on the weekends to get us out of the house. While we do enjoy taking our 5 year old son to the park, it can get old after a while. We currently live in Carrollton but don't mind traveling a bit. Any ideas???

What can I do next?

We have a Family Campout scheduled for March 14th & 15th, right before our Spring Break camp - www.AdventureDayCamps.com - and would love to have you guys join us. We'll have archery, fishing equip, and other activities for families to enjoy. The fee includes your dinner Sat night, smores around the campfire and a full breakfast on Sunday. Meadowmere Park has a great playground and plenty of land to explore on a nature walk. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions - ###-###-####.

If it doesn't have to be Saturday Night.......movies are much cheaper in the morning. You may not want to miss church, but we went last Sunday morning for only $5 each, then had an inexpensive breakfast. It was great! Find a friend that will trade kids with you so that there is no babysitter to pay.
