My daughter is turning 5 in September and we are looking for ideas for what to do for her birthday. We would rather not have it in our home since we have a very small house. Would like to keep it on the less expensive side and preferably in the Brandon area. Thanks for any suggestions!

What can I do next?

Hi C.,
For my daughter's 5th bday, we did the bowling thing. We had about 15 kids. It was 150 for all of them and it included the shoes, 1 hour and a halfr of blowling, pizza, drinks and chips. All the kids had a blast! And all the parents enjoyed it too! M.

Pump it Up in Brandon is a fun, great birthday for that age and they do all the work. I'm not sure how expensive it is.

Depending on how many other children are attending, a popular party is the "tea party" where the girls dress up (could be themed like "princess" or theatrical w/boa's) and go to a local Tea House.

just attended a party in brandon for a 6 year old boy- it was a huge arena of indoor bounce houses and slides. Every 20 minutes your party moves to the next room until you end in the
cake-gift room. It was nice because little ones could run around and you could'nt possibly loose them. Besides that it was indoors and cool- my kids completely enjoyed themselves.
Can't remember the name but I want to say "jump It" or something along those lines. It was on Lumsden.

We did bowling at Brandon Crossroads Bowling this year. It is off of 60 and Adamo sorta behind the plaza where Hooters, Sweet Tomatoes, and Home Depot is. They have cosmic bowling which is a little more and regular bowling. The costs includes pizza and pretty much the same schedule the other person listed. If you have over a certain number of kids, you also get a bowling pin for everyone to sign. We also did the Park for my daughter this year, that depends on the heat though. There is a nice park off of Parsons,(s of 60) I forget the name though. You can rent a pavilion or go early and stake you space. There is also All Persons Park. You can also go to Chuck E Cheese and just take a regular table and decorations instead of doing the party with the hostess where you pay per kid. Get there early enough for a table though. If the party is in the summer, I think you can have a pool party at the HIllsborough State Park too. I saw something about that in a flier last time I was there....Good luck.
