Looking for Help to Pay Hospital Bill

Next, if you had your surgery at a Baylor hospital they offer financial assistance to help with bills in situations like this. They will often completely waive the balance based on your income, or they will lower it to an amount you can afford to pay. I agree with Beth P. Just call the hospital and explain the situation. My sister did this when her son was in the hospital for a long time. She called and told them "this is the amount I can afford to pay you each month" and they were just glad she made the effort. She will be sending them money for a looonng time, but at least it's only what she can afford each month and interest-free.

Most hospitals will set up a payment plan for you to pay over time. My babies were in the NICU for two weeks so we met our family out of pocket max on insurance. I called and hospital was happy to set up a payment plan. It's interest free. It's going to take us some time to pay it off.

you probally already thought of this, but have you asked your church? if they cant , how about other churches? I know the one we used to go to would hold garage sales and the profits would go to people from the community that needed it... its def worth a try...
