I'm looking to purchase a new/used outdoor (or) indoor play set for my 18 month old daughter. Anyone have any suggestions for a somewhat tight budget? There are so many to choose from, and I want one that we can use for a couple years at best.

A., I have a set we've used with my son and daughter for the last 4 years. It's been LOVED, so it's not in perfect condition, but you can have it if you can pick it up. I can send you a picture of it if you send me your email address.

Look on Freecycle.org (join the group in/near your community). This is a website for people to give and receive things for free (clothing, furniture, kids toys, etc.). It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about keeping good stuff out of landfills.

Last year we received a freecycled big wood jungle gym/slide/swing set. We had to move it to our house, sand it down and stain it - but the kids love it. Jungle gyms are not posted often but Little Tykes and other small play sets are often available. you can also post what you are looking for and see if anyone has one to give. Good luck in your search.

I too spent a lot of time searching/shopping for indoor playsets for my family. I ended up purchasing a basic playset from Fingo Fun (http://www.fingofun.com/) and couldn't be happier with my result. They offer a variety of different indoor playsets (my kids love the attached slide) Hope this helps!

Hi A.,

I have a playschool climber that we use outdoors, and I am selling it for $45. It is in great condition. My 20month old loved it, but now has figured out how to climb our large Jungle gym, and is no longer interested in the one that is for him. The pieces all come apart, and will fit into a van, or SUV. If you are interested, let me know, and I can send a picture. We are located in Wheaton!

Good Luck!

A.

We love our Step 2 products! We also like Craig's list for a bargain. You may have to be patient to find what you are lookin' for but there is always a bargain to be had!
