Looking for GOOD Reasonable Child Care for My 3 Yo Son, Lantana, FL

I recently took my son out of the Family Day Care where he'd been for the past 1.5 years. He didn't seem to mind it ther, but I had some concerns... then the straw that broke the cammel's back was that we were required to pay for vacation/holidays days (23 a year) and paying twice for his care on those days was more than we can afford! I started him at a large private christian school four days ago... he hates it and so do I!! 3 out of the 4 monings, when I dropped him off there was no one in the room with the 18 kids!!! (teacher was in the room/closet next to the room...), kids coughing without covering or being asked to!!! I'm don't want to leave him there a second more!!! I'm just waiting to see what comes first... him getting sick, or hurt!
Does anyone know of somewhere reasonable & GOOD??? or am I asking too much? SIGH

What can I do next?

Hi,
WOW! 18 kids. That is way to many to care for them in a proper way. I have 2 boys and (one going to pre sch soon) and we can meet if you want your child in a home setting.

Clark Montessori School on Forest Hill Blvd. in West Palm Beach just east of I95 ###-###-#### My son has been there for two years and I think they do a better than average job and are very affordable. $500 month and if you go on vacation she with let you not pay.The school and director/teacher has been there for 30n years. Dont forget if he is turning 4 soon he is eligible for VPK which covers 3 hrs a day. Good luck.

My daughter goes to St. David's Episcopal School in Wellington. We just love it. I am not even religious, so that was not a factor in my decision, but the school feels so safe, warm and loving. I toured other schools where the kids were just maniacs, but here the kids are sweet and kind. I like the teachers, and it is very reasonable. It can be hard to get into as it is popular and affordable, but I was told they were full, put my name on a list, and a week later was told a child was leaving...so you never know. They are offering a summer "camp" program, and I know for a fact that is not booked, so you could look into that as well. Camp runs M-F 9-3, but you can do all 5 days, or MWF or TR. Good luck!
