I was told by my doctor to pick a pediatrician at the hospital to evaluate our baby before we leave the hospital. Does anyone know of a good pediatrician there? Thanks.
i use Dr Tommy Borrell, his office is just behind st josephs hospital. he does make rounds at st josephs, i just had my 2nd child in feb 06. his office number is ###-###-####.
I'm about to be a new mom myself. I had a friend who highly recommends Dr. Salvador Badillo with Health Point. She has been going there for close to 5 years now. You can get an appointment to meet the doctors and tour the facility. The practice is wonderful. They have all kinds of options and choices. There are 4 doctors involved with the practice. They have after-hours care facilities so you don't have to go to the E.R. The doctor's rotate who goes to the hospital, but one of them will be there. I was very impressed with them. I had my baby there too, you don't have to pick the pediatrician from there (there's none there). Pick "a" pediatrician then they will come to the hospital once you have the baby.
Dr. Jose Colon was my daughter's ped. dr., and he's just wonderful. He's also been my son, neice, and neighbor's Dr. as well. I've known him for 20 years, and you couldn't ask for a more personable and caring physician. Good luck and congrats!!
I love Dr. Dominick Reina at HealthPoint on Virginia Avenue. He came recommended from another friend. He doesn't come to the hospital to do the infant exams - another partner does, but he is wonderful in the office! He's about 70 years old and has seen it all. He answers all my questions and never do I feel like a neurotic mother with him. He takes the parent's input seriously and totally enjoys his work and the children. He will meet with you in advance for a free consult which I recommend for anyone you are considering.
