I have two teenage daughters that are insured through North Carolina's Medicaid program. We went to one dentist on New Bern Ave who made us all feel very uncomfortable. I am trying to find a dentist I can trust, who accepts Medicaid. Help!! It's hard enough to get them into a dentist's office, so I really need somebody they won't run away from (while screaming).
sorry it took so long to resolve this horrible dental situation, but finally got my daughter to this dentist suggested on cleveland rd. my daughter, who is 16, walked in and asked why everything was so nice...that immediately relaxed her...the supposed 8 cavities this terrible place on new bern ave had said she needed to have filled, were stains on her teeth!!!!

hello. not sure where you live, but we had a HORRIBLE experience with a dentist out of raleigh ( we were in their garner office though). i now take my kids to clayton pediatric dentistry.. theres a wait sometimes, but its worth it.. my kids LOVE it there- and they use the OR for really bad stuff.

I go to a very good dentist just outside of raleigh. The practice is off of 40 on Cleveland School Road. The office is absolutely beautiful. Marble floors and columns are in the lobby. The staff treats you the same whether or not or are on medicaid or part of the Trump family. I am on medicaid by the way. I am very familiar with the treatment some doctors give to medicaid patients as opposed to other insurances. It's Lane & Associates ###-###-####. I travel all the way from the Smithfield office just to go there. Good Luck

I think Dr. Pretzer at Horwitz, Pretzer and Parrish takes Medicaid. He is great with my kids. I have also heard good things about Dr. LaRee Johnson. I think her practice is Carolina Pediatric Dentistry she is up in Wakefield and I know she takes Medicaid as well. Good luck.
dr lecann and torres on six forks accept medicaid and i had some work done there while i was on medicaid. no problems have resulted from it and everything seems fine. this was about 2 years ago. other than that regular cleanings were no problem. and the staff was all really very nice and helpful
