I am looking for a family practice that you recomend on Centreville or Fairfax but prefer Centreville, I dont have any issues now but with the pregnancy, even I have already an obstetics practice I am going to, would like to have a place with a family practice that my husband and baby go to. I will be gratefull if you give me some suggestions. Also since I am new in the country and as first time pregnanty I will need a lot of guidance in options in the neigborhood.

What can I do next?

Hi,

As with the other responses, I as well take my son to Union Mill Pediatrics since he is so little (11mos). I think that they accept kids up to the age of 18.

My husband and I have a general practice which is located out in Fairfax off of Arlington Blvd called Prosperity Internal Medicine.

I go to Rocky Run Family Practice ###-###-####
5645 Stone Rd. Centreville, VA 20120. I have no experience with major health issues. I go there for routine check-ups or if I'm sick (sinus infection, ect.) and need meds. I do not take my daughter there, she goes to Union Mill Peds, only because I wanted a Peds dr to see her when she was young.

Although I realize it would be nice to have a family practice, I think there is something valuable about having doctors that specialize in childhood issues. We go to South Riding Pediatrics (we live in Centreville) and we love them. One of our children had an organ issue from conception and we received wonderful care from them.

My husband and I go to a family practice in Centreville but we don't feel particularly thrilled about them. They get the job done, but it's hard for me to recommend something that I don't feel very strong about. My husband has "cluster headaches" and we have had some wonderful care (that doctor left the practice recently) and we have had some horrible care. I'd definitely recommend the pediatric doctors though. They are wonderful.

Good luck in your search.
Liz

Hello I.

Are you looking for natural birthing like midwifes also? If you are looking for Childbirth classes I highly recommend HypnoBirthing childbirth classes. They are very empowering as well an amazing program for easy and comfortable birthing. I was more than 37 when I had my baby using HypnoBirthing techniques. It was just beautiful. After personally experiencing the value of the program Now I am a Practitioner giving classes as well a trainer to train practitioner. For more info check www.hypnobirthing.com or you email me directly.

My husband and I see a family doctor, but he does not see children under 2 yrs. From what I've read this is pretty standard.

I do take my kiddo to Union Mill Pediatrics in Centreville. (www.unionmillpediatrics.com) There are 4 wonderful doctors there, they have M-S hours, and I always can get an appointment no matter when I call. I can't say enough wonderful things about this practice.
