Randy's Steakhouse in Frisco (Main Street) is really neat place and great food. They have private rooms.
Looking for an elegant restaurant for Rehearsal Dinner party of 75 people in the North Dallas, Plano, or Frisco area that is still somewhat reasonable in price!
Wow! Thank you for your wonderful suggestions! I've received so many creative and constructive ideas! I am now busy checking into several of these choices!!! Thank you and I will keep you posted.
Randy's Steakhouse in Frisco (Main Street) is really neat place and great food. They have private rooms.
We had ours at Maggiano's. They do Family Style servings and is a TON of great food, for around $25 per person. They have separate banquet rooms as well. Good luck!
If you want something a bit different, have your reception at Southfork. I did that for my rehearsal night dinner and it was great. We had about 60. We did not have it in the house, but a separate space where they could also walk through a southfork museum of sorts. Cool, different and fun for everyone. We also got a tour of the house. The price was also reasonable especially considering we got a fun atmosphere.
The Guest Lodge at the Cooper Aerobic Center is gorgeous and has great food! I had my reception there, but I know they do reaheral dinners too. It is pretty reasonably priced too. The website is http://www.theguestlodge.com. Ask for Dianne Lester - she is the wedding/social event manager.
I second Maggianos (Northpark Mall or Plano). Great food and private rooms.
Our favorite is Del Frisco's (Tollway/Spring Valley)steaks house. Other favorites are III Forks (Tollway/Trinity Mills), Sullivans has a private area and good food (Tollway/Trinity Mills), Ruth Chris (Tollway/Trinity Mills), Lawry's Prime Rib (Tollway/Spring Valley), Hotel Zaza (downtown)
Enjoy!
Maggiano's has really nice private rooms and the food is great!
C., here's an idea I haven't seen yet: Cafe Amore on West Park Blvd. near Prestonwood Baptist Church. Their food is delicious and the interior is both charming and romantic. The walls are faux painted and there is a beautiful mural. They have an upstairs area that might be private and available. You could save yourselves a little money by bringing in your own wine...they do not carry it but will uncork it for you. This is a lovely and reasonable restaurant tucked into a strip center...but don't let that dissuade you from trying it.
You might look into Spaghetti Warehouse (on 75) or Southfork Hotel...

I second Robbie & Steve Fields. If I were getting married today, that is where I would have it! I love this restaurant! Their food is Fabulous, and their atmostphere and service is great too!
Steve Fields at Park & Preston has a private dining room and excellent food with a wonderful atmosphere.
Check out Blue Mesa Grill in Plano near the Dallas North Tollway and 121 (Southeast corner). They have a private room and prices are reasonable. Food is great (New Mexican/southwestern).
When my oldest son got married 2 years ago we went to Maggiano's in Plano for the rehearsal dinner. We had a private room for about 50+ people and it was very well done. I would recommend them. Barb
