We are looking for a dermatologist for removing/checking moles. We live in north Allen so anywhere in Allen or Plano would be good.
I have not heard good things about Dr. Susan Poliak (www.doctorscorecard.com/view?id=Susan_Poliak_TX). I am also switching dermos because I did't care for her either ; )

She is in Richardson, however -- at the corner of Collins & Campbell, near Richardson Regional Medical Center.
I've used her for several years as well as sending my children to her. We do enjoy her; however, not so much with her partner. The office staff can be abrupt; but, Dr. Aponte is worth the hassle.

I go to Dr. Lockhart who is with North Texas Dermatology, 5805 Coit Rd Ste 203, Plano, TX 75093. (____@____.com). I really like her. There are a few other dermatologists in the same office. I too was not happy with Dr. Poliak because I had to wait so long in the waiting room, and then she acted like she didn't have time to really listen to my concerns.
I was referred to Dr. Michael McGuinnis from this board and love him! He's at Plano Dermatology Clinic at Windhaven & the Tollway and is just terrific. ###-###-####. Good luck!!
We go to Dr. Barrows practice in Allen. I see Dr. Darby and I really liked her. I think my husband sees her too and he has pre-cancer on his arms from working outside all the time. She's very good on treating him.
The website is www.mdbarrows.com . Call them because they sent a letter saying they were moving to McKinney but their website still says Allen (near the library)so either the move fell through or was delayed or their website hasn't been updated.
Recently I obtained a referral from this list for Dr. Susan Poliak in Plano. I saw her last month for checking moles and I was very pleased. She is located near 15th St and Coit in Plano.
