I want to enroll my 3 year old daughter in dance class in the fall, somewhere in the mid to north Pinellas area. I heard Suncoast and The Studio were really good, but they are expensive, not to mention, really big. I checked the YMCA, and that price was about the same. My daughter already does gymnastics and loves it, so I want her to do both, but that means finding somewhere a little smaller that might be a little better priced. Anyone know of a good place that is not so expensive for dance lessons?
Morningside rec center offers a dance class for little ones, I think ages 3-5. I believe it is tap, jazz and ballet. It is taught Tuesdays at 4-ish. The Morningside rec center is off belcher or us19 on Harn Blvd and is part of the City of Clearwater. It is being offered over the summer and you can join in at any time.
We have been very happy with Patricia Ann Dance Studios. They have 2 studios both located in Dunedin. My daughter who is 5 has been taking classes there for 2 years. Next week is her annual recital. I'm not sure what other prices you were paying, but this is $50.00 per month. We are taking the summer off so we won't have to pay for that time. Good luck!
Keystone Recreation Center has dance classes that we just started. They are once a week, $5 (it was $4 but they just increased it) per week. The instructor was great! It is a combined ballet/tap/gymnastics class. She has a few of them for different ages.
