Chicago is great. You can have the city life and still hit the beach with Lake Michigan!! Lots of things to do. That is definitely within 8 hours of Omaha. The train system is really easy to use, so you don't even need to use your car.
My husband and I are wanting to take a 3 or 4 day trip with just the 2 of us. We're wanting to find someplace within an 8 hour drive from Omaha. I enjoy nature and scenery and he enjoys the nightlife of a city. Are there any good getaway places that would accommodate both of us? I'm drawing a blank on where to go besides Kansas City.

How far is Colorado from Omaha? I love, love, love the Denver area!
I am from Minnesota and there are some great places in the Twin Cities that would accomodate both of you!
The Lied lodge down in NE city is supposed to be nice - but not much for city life!! what about Minnesota?
The Twin Cities here in MN could accomodate both of you. Send me a message if you want some ideas. What about St. Louis? How far is that? They've got some great ethnic restaurants and music, but also a nice botanical garden and the Anheiser Busch farm attraction. Lots of history stuff to do there and a nice baseball stadium.
