Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations for a mid-size non-denominational, Bible, or Baptist church in the Carrollton area. I tend to feel really lost in a mega church! We have one daughter going into 2nd grade, so kid's activities are important in addition to strong Bible-based teaching. Willing to drive to surrounding communities, but would like to limit ourselves to about a 15-20 minute drive.

Our family loves Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco. It is a traditional non-denominational Bible church. Pastor Chuck Swindoll is amazing, and firmly believes in preaching the Word of God, and sermons are so moving. There are wonderful children's programs for all ages, as well as adult classes and bible studies. I invite you to join us any Sunday. Worship services are at 9:00 and 11:00 am on Sundays, and the church is located just west of Preston Rd. on Legendary Dr. It is a large church, but by no means has the feel or wants to be known as a megachurch. Check out the website at www.stonebriar.org. Hope you'll visit soon!
Hi W.,
We attend First Baptist Church Carrollton on Josey Lane in Carrollton. We have a 2nd grader, 4 yo and 2 yo. We have been attending our church since before children. We love the staff and Jeanne Shockey is the minister to children. She does a wonderful job! There are so many acticities to chose from...choir, missions, etc.
If you would like to try out our church, private message me and let me know when you would like to come and I would be happy to meet you and take you around.
Have you looked into Christ United Methodist Church on Valwood Pkwy in Farmers Branch? My kids go to preschool and vacation bible school there and they are a great little community. Small enough that you get to know everyone. They take reaching out to the community very seriously with food drives, coat drives, etc, and they have Family Dinner every Wed. after church.
We're Catholic so we go to the church acros the street but if we were looking for a church that's where we would go.
