How about a $5.00 gas card or a gift card for Jewel or Dominicks. Homemade cookies if your schedule allows. How about a pic of your son with both the mom and daughter-or the children they currently care for?
Some ideas for thought.
I'd like to give a Christmas gift to my son's caregivers. My son is 14 months old and has been with them (daughter and mother run a home care) for 2 months. They are great and I really like them. I'd like to give each of them a gift, but am not sure what gifts would be nice and appropriate.

having been a childcare provider. i always appreciated homemade gifts, gift cards for dinner out, or a bonus.
hope this helps.
My personal favorite gift (as a teacher) was always gift certificates). Especially to restaurants. Lettuce Entertain You sells certificates that work at several different restaurants.
If they are the right type, spa type gifts are also nice, i.e. manicure, pedicure, massage.
Good luck!
C., As a teacher and former daycare provider and babysitter, I must tell you a cash bonus is the way to go. If you are the type that feels that cash is insincere or without care a gift certificate to a mall or another appropriate place ie: favorite coffee establishment, nail salon or movie theater or video store. I am telling you from experience they do not need another ornament, candle, or picture frame. A holiday cash bonus is the most needed and most wanted!!!Believe me. Glad to hear you are happy with your babysitter. Happy Holidays!
