Looking for Childcare in Farragut Area

I am thinking about returning to work and have no idea about the whole childcare/daycare thing. My daughter is 16 months. I would first like to know of a good childcare place in my area (I live in Farragut). Then secondly, what are reasonable charges for daycare. I am trying to figure out if it is worth going back or will my whole paycheck or most of it go to daycare. Thanks, C.

What can I do next?

C., I have just recently quit work because it was costing more to go to work than I was bringing home. We just moved back to Knoxville, and when I was looking for childcare for my 2 boys (3,1) I did not have much luck. Childcare centers were really outrageous, especially for 2 kids. I prefer in home daycare. The going rate for that is about $20 a day per child. Some were more, but that was about average. I could keep going for days, but I think I've given enough info for now. Good luck searching.

Hi C.!

Child care can be a little pricey...somewhere between $400 per month to $300+ per week. I am an executive district manager with Arbonne International and would love to talk to you about starting your own business, staying home with your daughter and making life changing money. It is definately worth looking at. Best wishes to you! D.

Approximately between $100-$150 a week is the average cost of childcare for your daughter. There is childcare in alot of churches in the area. Home childcare is alot cheaper, and your daughter will not get illnesses so much from other children. You can look in the newspaper for home childcare providers in the yellow service section.

Have you looked into Nanny's nursery? It's near Fort Sanders West and is a great program.

I would highly recommend Starting Points Childcare off of Campbell Station road. The teachers are excellent and my son really enjoyed his time there. It's about $175 a week. Good luck!
