Apple sauce comes in individual containers and is not refridgerated, so that would be perfect for work. I have used it to taked a crushed pill that i can't swallow and works good for this too.

I started to take Bee Pollen to help with my asthma and it really seemed to help in a lot of areas. I was mixing it my yogurt and eating it for breakfast at work. On the weekends I would spread it on toast, which doesn't work at work, and I never seem to get breakfast in the morning before leaving. I am just not a morning person and the earlier I get up, the longer I stand under the hot water in the shower.
But now, because of allergies, I have been staying away from dairy, which means no yogurt. Do any of you moms out there have any other ideas on how else I can take, or mix it in?

Why not take it at night? I know most things are taken in the morning, but if you take it at night prior to going to sleep, it has all night to enter your system, and will be at work for you in the morning!

Do you have any allergy problems with soy products? If not, how about switching to soy yogurt? They have 3 flavors at Trader Joes (raspberry/strawberry/peach)I actually prefer the vanilla but you have to go somewhere else for that (Healthy or gourmet stores). Maybe you could give that a try? :-)
I love to put bee pollen on top of my smoothies. And you can always make them dairy free :)
I applaud you for taking a proactive role in controlling your asthma. That is what started me in earnest on my own self-education on alternative approaches to this condition. This may be more information than you requested, but I wanted to share with you what I have learned in my own journey.
Salt air is very healing for anyone with respiratory ailments. Clean and healthy sinuses are imperative in a healthy respiratory system. A neti pot can change your life. You can get one at WHole Foods and many other health food stores. A salt pipe is another option.

I cut milk out, but I will occasionally have yogurt. Someone mentioned goats milk yogurt from Trader Joes. Great idea.
Regular chiropractic visits are incredibly helpful in dealing with asthma. I can recommend two great chiropractors, one is in Long Beach near Seal Beach, the other is in LA in the Fairfax area. Let me know if you are interested in getting their info.
Acupuncture works wonders as well.
The more you can do to boost your immune system the better. Start taking superfood-dehydrated wheatgrass, spirulina etc. I use Dr Schulze's formula. You add to juice. Limit sugar intake including juice. Nothing brings down a person's immune system faster than sugar. That said, don't fall into the trap of sugar free products that use aspartame-splenda, etc. It is quite literally poison. Water, water, water is the best. Herbal teas are great also. Remember it doesn't have to be served hot. Go for complex carbohydrates, rather than simple carbs. The sugar content enters your blood stream at a much slower rate. Complex carbs-brown rice and whole grains versus white rice, white flour.
An apple a day contributes to healthy lung function.
Oil of Oregano is a natural antibiotic and anti-viral supplement. Since it is a food source it will not interfere with any meds you may be taking and it will help boost your immune system. Bee products like bee pollen as well as propolis, and royal jelly are also great for building up the immune system and are also anti-viral. You can add bee pollen into a smoothy with the superfood. Local bee pollen taken in big doses for a month can get rid of allergies.
Yoga will also help build up both your immune system and his respiratory system. Deep breathing is great and backward bends actually boost the immune system. They also help open up the chest.

I always put it in smoothies! Quick and nutritious solution for breakfast. You can either buy fruit that is already frozen (Trader Joes' has a great selection) or buy your own fruit and freeze it (must do with bananas). Use about 4 - 6 ounces of juice and about a cup of frozen fruit. You can add bee pollen, protein powder, etc...throw it in the blender and you're out the door!
try mixing it in some hot tea. constant comment is a good one or try one that appeals to your tastes.

If you like Applesauce, that is what I mix my kids Vit. D drops in. You can also try oatmeal, if you have a microwave at work Henry's Market sells (I am sure you can get it other places too) the Kashi Oatmeal, it is SO good and you could try mixing it in there!

You might want to look into eliminating your allergies. I have had lots of mine eliminated, and so have two of my grandchildren. The technique is referred to as NAET and there are thousands of certified NAET practitioners world wide. My doctor is Dr. David Karaba with the East West Medical Group in Fullerton.

Try Grapeseed extract, my stepdad is allergic to everything on the planet and the dirt it grows in (and is an organic farmer) so u know the attacks were bad!!!
I had him try the grapeseed extract and his allergies are hardly an issue now unless the pollen count is totally crazy.
It's worth a try to see if the asthma is allergy based and you may escape the cycle by a simple dose-a-day.
