Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of going green lol. Its not just for me. I've
started a charity organization in honor of my husband who died of non-hodgkins Lymphoma last march. Every valentines day we will be visiting our local cancer center and
distributing gifts of love. Valentines day is not just about Romance, but LOVE and caring for those around you.

I'm not asking for donations in this post, just items and prices. (I will pay) I know that today is not an ad day, and i don't want anyone to get on misty's bad side (LOL i know she doesn't have one, but lets be nice!!) so please email me with any items or ideas that you can help me with! This is for 2009, so please don't think i need this by
thursday! Thanks so much!

I'm looking for:
Make-Up
Toys
Stuffed Animals
Blankets
Housewares
Hand/Foot Scrubs
Hand/Foot/Body Lotions
Exfoliators

Foods are not for the patients, but for caregivers and families.

If you represent a company selling such items, have your own line of products, or would like to suggest brands you trust, please contact me. Thanks again!!

What can I do next?

T., I can DEFINITELY help you with some of the skin and body care products. I recently started a small home business making organic, handmade soaps, lotions and creams and I think they might be just what you want. I would love to be able to help out you and your organization (which sounds so meaningful--congratulations on starting it!). Go to http://www.greenberrysoaps.com and see it.

I'm willing to work with you to create exactly the kind of products you want, or you can see if some of the products in my catalog suit your needs.

My dear uncle just passed away from pancreatic cancer this week, and one of the things that made me feel like I could do *something* to give him comfort these last months was to provide him with gentle and aromatic soaps (I sent him a sampler and he told me he loved the Green Tea and Jasmine, so I made him more of that, which he used every day). And then when he told me about how very dry his skin was getting, especially on his face, I gave him some of my Calendula Tamanu cream (made with goats milk and shea butter) and he was so pleased and asked for more--my aunt said it made him feel better than anything.

I have soaps, creams, lotions, bath teas, bath oils for all members of the family, with a wide range of really amazing natural fragrances (for men and women) as well as fragrance-free products for very sensitive or allergic skin.

Let me know if you have any questions at all. My email is ____@____.com and the web site is www.greenberrysoaps.com.

Good luck with everything, and please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband.

P.

I am so sorry for your loss, I think it is a wonderful thing that you are doing for others
Try looking in the Health Food section of the Krogers. Most of them have a section set aside for natural bath soaps, lotions, shampoos, laundry soaps and house cleaning products. The good thing is that they are much more affordable than the high end natural products and the quality is there.
Another good source is Trader Joes. There is one in Roswell & Marietta. Their bath products are also affordable.
Also If you do a search online there are recipes for natural sugar scrubs. They are usually pretty basic easy to make yourself. This might help you to stretch your money.

P>S>- I noticed you have babies, save the baby food jars, sanitize them and recycle them by using them as containers for your homemade sugar scrubs - Just spray paint the lids and you're set!!
