Hi mammmas!
I was just wondering if any of you have ANY idea where I could list and sell my Precious Moments collection. I was a collector when I was a teenager and have more then 40 to get rid of but want to do it the right way. I have listed on Craigslist but they want to barter with me for WAY less then they are worth. I have a 1995 collector's book with what they secondary market value was then. I've also compared prices on the internet, now I just need to list them somewhere.......any ideas?
Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

Hi - as someone who also has a collection of Precious Moments that dates back to the 80's with "special" collector pieces, my opinion is that unfortunately, these really were not able to appreciate in any value as they really were mass market produced pieces. The prices listed in the collectors books are "suggested value", and only good if someone is willing to pay that price.
Thousands are listed on Ebay and only selling for a few dollars each. I was able to sell a few at a garage sale for $20 each. Hope you have better luck -

i too have a collection and was doing the same thing. I looked on ebay but their so many their that most of them don't even get bids. i would put in ad in your local paper or look in your paper sometimes their are people looking for whole collections.

If you have a specific amount in mind that you would like to make, you s/ list them on eBay w/ a "reserve". What that means is that if people bid on them, they have to meet your price or they do not win them. The only catch is that I think you have to pay a fee to list on eBay. Hope this helped. Good luck!

you could look for a consignment shop or a consignment auction place. there is a consignment auction house in sugar grove, Callison Auctions. not sure of their policies, etc.

I have seen collectible items on www.napervilleyardsales.com
which is a website where you can sell anything from clothes to art and everything else.
