I am only 7 weeks pregnant and my breasts are already KILLING me! They feel like they did the first two weeks of breastfeeding my son! I can't go without a bra at all, so I am looking for a sleeping bra. When I did a search, I was shocked at how many options there are! So, I was hoping to get some opinions before I bought any.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

My absolute favorite was from the store at the mall - Motherhood I think it's called. It's just like a sports bra in a way - just an elastic around the bottom, crisscross cotton? "nursing bra" where you can just pull out your boob and put it back easily. I even used it after...very comfy.

HI! I invested in a bunch of good sports bras during my pregnancy and they were very comfortable.

Good luck!

Motherhood has a "sleeper" bra- it is SUPER comfortable and actually works well under some regular clothes (not all shirts though-it looks like a wrappable sports bra) and it is super for nursing (again with certain shirts you can wear it outside of the home or during the day too). I started lactating at around 8 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy--so you may want to pick up some boobie pads! :D

M.,

Congrats on your second! I just had my second in August 2007...I know what you mean about the discomfort...I put heating pads and cold packs on my breasts throughout my pregnancy...but anyway i found very reasonable and comfy sleeping/nursing bras at Target - I can't remember the brand -something like O'Maley...but in with the nursing bras

Good luck!

I had the same problem! What helped me was sleeping in a sports bra that fit. Not too tight or too loose.

Hello M.,

When i was preg. I used to like to sleep in a sports bra. That would keep the girls nice and snug.

After each one of my kids came and i was breastfeeding them i would buy my nursing bra's from J C Penney. I would go to a mall near by. But if you do not live near a Mall with a JCP store than you can buy them online.

If you need to buy them online go to Wal-Mart and try on their Nursing bra's so that you can see what size you will need the most. Then go home and order the one that you want online from JCP. I did not like the nursing bra's from Wal-Mart, they did not feel good and they do not look good. But it is up to you.

If you choose to breastfeed when the baby gets here and you find yourself not making enough milk ---- Fenugreek ---- is something great that mothers take to help make more milk. You can get it at GNC or any health food store for about $10 or less. You can also go online and read about it. :)

God Bless you and your little one and your family.

Hi M.,

I found this great bra from Fancee Free:
http://www.fanceefreemfg.com/ (look under Maternity & Nursing Bras on the site and I wear the first one on that page, number 96203/4).
I didn't wear them while I was pregnant, but I wear them to sleep in now that I'm nursing. They are so comfortable, and really affordable!!

Good luck and congratulations!!

Best form wireless bras from walmart. They're 5 bucks. You can adjust the depth of the v because the clasp is in the front. I've had two kids with my youngest being 21 months. I've gone from a 36DDD to now a 38F/40DD depending on the manufacturer. I don't take my bra off except to shower, sex or to put a new one on.

M.-
Congrats on your happy news. THough I can't help with the sleeping bra search, I can tell you what I did when I was pregnant with my kids. A friend of mine told me one day when i was in TEARS with pain from the swelling to try rubbing chamomile oil on them at night. It's all natural and safe while pregnant and it not only has a calming scent, the oil has anti-inflammatory type properties when used topically. You can usually buy a small bottle from a healthfood store for between $6-$15 depending on the store and the quality of the oil. I also went to a massuese once a week (a woman) and she would relax the muscle and tissue surrounding the breast and that helped with the pain too. Good luck finding some relief.

Hey M.,

Congrats to you and your family! :)

No matter what you do M., you are going to have tender breasts.

I am pregnant with my fifth child and every pregnancy felt like pens and neeles.

The bras may offer you some relief.

I've purchased all of my bras, sleeping and nursing bra at Motherhood. I spent about $18/bra

There is a Motherhood Maternity Store on S Tamiami Trail. An associate should be able to help fit you with the proper sizes to ensure the proper fit. It is so important to make sure that you have a properly fitted bra. If not you won't get the relief you seek. You don't want to just waste your money buying bras.

Best of luck and best wishes for a happy healthy pregnancy

Hi I had the same problem early in my pregnancy. I went to Motherhood and they suggested a fairly inexpensive bra (under $15) that I found to be very comfortable in my former A size and even now as a C I still wear them. I am hoping to be able to use them for nursing as well because of the crossover style. They are very basic, no underwire just elastic trim. Sorry I don't have a style number, they are sized S, M, L. Good luck and congrats!

I love the Gillian O'Malley Nursing Tanks from Target. That's all I wear anymore(day and night)! They offer enough support to be comfortable, but they're not at all restrictive or conforming like my other bras. I recommend them highly!
