Looking for a Sitter for 11/24 - Allen,TX

Here's the situation. My husband and I are both employed in the retail sales arena, and, therefore, are required to work the day following Thanksgiving. We ususally have family in town who could sit with our son, but circumstances may keep them from coming. Our usual childcare provider is unavailable and all of our friends in the area are from our jobs and working also. We are looking for someone, perhaps a student, to spend the day with our 7 month old at our home. Please let me know if you are aware of anyone who might be interested or if you have any other suggestions. We don't know what we will do otherwise.

What can I do next?

I might be able to help you if you can drop him off at my place. I am off thanksgiving and the day after and I have a 13 months old myself. I will do it for free if you want to bring him to my place. On the alternative, my baby sitter is really great. She worked at a daycare for 9 years and she is very nice with kids. She has 2 kids of her own and we live on the same apt complex. She is very reasonable on her price. She charges me very little, compaired to the great job she does. So let me know if you are interested.

Well, if those don't work out for you, I may be able to help. Where are you located? I live in McKinney and I don't mind coming to your house. I do have a 2yo son who will need to come with me. I've been babysitting for 20 years and nannying full-time and part-time for 15 years. I have excellent references. I generally charge $10 an hour, but it's negotiable depending on the situation.

I can do it if you can bring your son to me, I have a 17 month old so it will need to be at my house.
I have over 20 yrs of childcare experience and am cpr/first aid certified.

Please let me know what you think.

You might be able to find a church that is offering drop in child care that day. Most daycare centers are closed that day, but a church or maybe in home child care might also be available....
