Hi N.. We bought our 2 1/2 year old a Sweet Pea MP3 player. It is designed for her age group and only has three buttons. She can't ruin any CDs that way. Good luck.
I'm looking for a simple radio and CD player for my two-year-old daughter. So far, everything I have found online has horrible reviews. Does anyone have a recommendation for something I could put in her bedroom and eventually teach her to operate? Thanks!

I know how you feel - I bought my daughter one and it broke almost instantly & it was me operating it not her! Anyway, I gave up. I play her CDs in our DVD player and we listen to the Toddler Tunes music channel that's part of our cable package.
Hello N.,
I have received this Cd player as a gift 2 years ago for my now 3 and 4 year old rough playing sons. So far it has survived. It is easy to operate as your daughter would just need to lift the flip, lay the CD in and shut the flip and it starts by itself.
Not sure, if this is the best for the money, but it has amazingly survived in this household so far.
Obviuosly this CD player comes in different design.
Good luck
We also just use inexpensive "adult" cd players for the kids, you'd be surprised how quickly they figure it out. The problem I find is that they wreck the actual cd's, so I usually try to burn copies of the cd's (or download from itunes) for them to use instead of giving them the original cd.
I use cd players for the daycare kids and I just use plain ole grown up type. The kids all learn really quick which button to push to start the music and which to push to stop the music. I want them to have continous play so that it plays over and over during nap so that was something I looked for. But really any cheap CD player will work. If you want, since she is only 2, put different stickers on the different buttons (a firetruck on the stop button, a princess on the go button for instance).
Hey There,
I wanted to share with you what I bought from Walmart. There is a set that is pink and white and it comes with a tv, dvd player, clock, cd player, and an Ipod docking station. You can buy the pieces seperately. I have the tv, dvd player, and the cd player in my 17 month old daughters room. I really like all of the peices. The cd player works great and is easy to operate, but for your daughter I like the idea of putting a colored sticker on start and another colored sticker on stop. That would help her learn how to start and stop it. Here is the website to look at this cd player.
