I found a GREAT source, they are in Lewisville but are just about to open up a store in Frisco. Their website is www.furniturebuyconsignment.com. You can upload photos of your furniture on their website. Their number is ###-###-####. The gentleman I talked with was SUPER nice. I am defintely going to use them for my extra furniture.

I know its a drive, but I personally know the owner and you couldnt ask for a more honest open person. He is a hugh supporter of our troops and we have worked together on several events now.
His web address is www.fortworthantiques.net
Others have given good suggestions, especially the interior decorator and the person recommending Ralph Willard, although all these will probably charge for the appraisal. However, another option is an event coming up Monday at the Garland Central Library which is free. If you did this in addition to choosing one of the persons suggested above, you would have two appraisals for comparison for the price of one. I have copied the info below from the Nicholson Library website:
Date:
04/28/2008
Time:
3:00 PM
Event Title:
-Antiques Fair @ Central
Description:
Antiques Fair
Monday, April 28, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Central Library
Bring your favorite antique or collectible for a free appraisal given by a local antiques expert. Limit one item per person.
For more information go to the Adult Programs page or call the Central Library Reference Desk at ###-###-####.
Hello, I don't know of anyone, however if you do get a source I would love to get the number. I heard there was a dealer in the Oak Lawn area, but I haven't researched it yet. I have some of my mom's stuff that she wants to sell so she can do some traveling.
Thank you and good luck,
M. H
I am a formal interior designer and worked in Dallas for many years, mainly dealing with 17th and 18th century European antiques. There are many dealers in/around Slocum Street and Oaklawn (in the Dallas Design District). However, there is a wonderful man named Brant Laird that can definitely help you with your appraisals, and any fine antiques that you may want to sell. If he can't help you, I can assure you he can direct you to someone that can. He has a shop located at 2901 Henderson in Dallas (just east of central, in Dallas.)
Here is a helpful website, as well...

I was just thinking of selling some antiques that I have and are really not fitting in our house. Please let me know if you find someone. I will try to do some searching and will let you know what I find. I would really like to find someone trustworthy.
Good luck,
K.
