I am ready to buy a big boy bed for my 2 year old son. I'd really like to get a red race car twin size bed for his new room and wanted to know if anyone has one that they want to sell or if anyone knows of a good place to find a really good one for a good price. I have seen some online at Toys R Us and the one I really like is over $300 plus $150+ for shipping. I'd like to spend less if I can but I don't want a cheap looking bed either. Any suggestions?? I need to get one very soon now that I have a newborn who will be needing the crib.

Try looking at children's consignment shops in your area. Oh, I see you're in McKinney. There's a great on in McKinney called A Little Behind. If they don't have that bed, ask them to call you if they happen to get one in.

I have been buying used but great kid's stuff at www.craigslist.com
I have seen many race car beds during the last month so they might still be available. After you get into the website, You just have to click Dallas and then click on "Baby and Kids Stuff".
There are tons of used stuff for sale, which I have found cheaper than consigment and resell stores.
However, because it's a public website, I advise you to be careful and not to send money before you get the product etc...you know how that goes.
