Hi everyone. I am new to the area (only been here for a week) and I am looking for a good preschool for my 4 year old in the South Denton area. Since I do not know which preschools are good and which ones to stay away from I was hoping I could count on you ladies for advice.

L.,
I work at First Baptist Church of Corinth- KDO. They are the best program in the area and our 4 yr old program can not be beat. I have a 5 year old daughter that is starting kindergaten this August. She just completed the 4 year old program at KDO and she learned so much. Best of luck with this decision.

Primrose School in Corinth is highly rated. My grandchildren are attending there and it is absolutely great. We were recommended to that school by a friend who has a three year old that has always attended there and there's never been any problem. It's located next to WAl Mart off on South Garrison off of Swisher Road.
Hi L.,
Welcome to the area...regarding preschool, you should check out Reading Friends...it is on the north side of Lewisville. It is an academic preschool with a focus on language/reading. I have heard great things! I think they have a website...www.readingfriends.org
Good luck!

We love Countryside Montessori in Denton, ###-###-####
My kids are too young for preschool, but I've heard great things about Cornerstone and Selwyn.
My daughter went to Countryside Montesorri. She was ahead of everyone when she started Kindergarten. (She will be in 1st grade next year) Plus I worked there for a short time. The people there are wonderful and the children are so well-behaved because they are always busy. They are not bored. And they are so enthusiastic about what they are doing. They learn about all kinds of things. I can't even tell you how wonderful it was. She went to a regualar day care before she went there and there was a huge turn around in her behavior after she started going to Countryside. Call and ask if you can observe a class (I know they will let you). I think you will be impressed. Good luck.
My son attends First Baptist. They many different programs there and are wonderful. They fill up every year, so it may be too late to get in, but it never hurts to check. My son just turned 4 and has been going there since he was 18 months old. He started with Mother's Day Out and we started him with preschool last year. He has always loved it there. Here is there website: http://www.fbcd.net/FBCDPreschool.htm. Good luck in your search.
Look into Footprints Preschool in Lake Dallas. I am not sure what you are looking for, but there is also Corinth Montessori School. I hope the move went well! Enjoy the HEAT :) ~A.~
