I have a 3 year old in daycare two days a week. The school is nice and it's close to home just not sure if I want to continue there. I'm looking for advice on how to go about finding one, how to enroll, etc. Anyone with great ideas, tips and/or schools to recommend appreciated!

What can I do next?

Hi. My church has a great preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds. It is the Westland Free Methodist Church Preschool at 1421 South Venoy Rd., Westland (just north of Palmer Rd. on Venoy, on the East side of the road). The director and most of the teachers are friends of mine and attend the church. You can call Sherry Tenorio at ###-###-#### or email her at ____@____.com. K..

My daughter goes to Tyndel. It's really nice. Sunny Skies is also supposed to be nice.

I'd check with your community for a resource that lists all available centers. Read their descriptions to get an initial idea of if you like what they offer. Then check for a community information night.

My kids' preschool is located in Walled Lake. The Commerce Twp library is having a preschool information night on January 24th (6-8pm) and Feb 19th (6-8pm). It's an evening where various schools will have tables/booths set up and can give you information and answer questions. It's nice because it's one-stop shopping. If your community doesn't offer one of these opportunities, call the schools and ask for tours or a free visit to check them out. Most will let you attend once for free so you can actually see what a typical day is like.

Good luck making this important decision. It can be a great experience for you and your kids.

I found my daughter's prescholl by attending ROyal Oak Library's Preschool Information Night. This is where local preschools will come to the library and set up a table with information on their preschool. There will also be a representative at each table to answer any questions.

My husband and I went to one last year and from what we saw, picked our top 3 favorites. Then went home and weeded out one, then visited our top two with our 3 year old and got her input.

Check with your local library if they have something similar. I know Berkley also has one. Royal Oak is having theirs very soon FYI.
