You could also try searching http://socialtoddler.com - it's a new playgroup directory where parents can find and join local area playgroups.
Looking to meet other Moms who are older first time Moms like me. Any ideas?
Thanks for all the responses! I'm going to try some of the suggestions.

I'm part of the Mom's Club in Langhorne, there's other ones all over Bucks county also. They have playgroups for different ages and also monthly activities that anyone can go to. Also once a month there is a Mom's night out. I've made a lot of friends over the last 5 years and my kids have gotten to do a lot of activities that I would never have known about. Just yesterday we went and made bread at the Great Harvest Bread Co. in Newtown. The kids really enjoyed seeing how the bread is made.
Try Buxmontmommies.com. They're an awesome online group of moms and they have an events calendar for you to get out, meet the others, and let the kiddies play. They have a new forum that recently opened too- the 35 plus club (I think that is the name of it) for moms who began their families at age 35 or later (not sure if you did or not).
Anyway, theyre a lot of fun and it's a wonderful, supportive group full of interesting people and topics.

Hope to chat with you soon! :-)
Check out www.meetup.com and search for mom's group near where you live. I have joined 2 in Doylestown. They have lots of activities and playdates at people's houses.
I have heard lots of good things about the Moms Group in Langhorne. You might also want to try One Fit Mama at the Oxford Valley Mall on Tuesday mornings at 9am. I have met some really nice and like minded moms there. Many times they will grab a coffee and bring the little ones to Kidgets after wards. Check out their website at www.onefitmama.com.
K.,
Do you have a Parenting Center in your area, like the Parenting Center of Abington...and others in the area? They may have a "drop in" group that can develop into a playgroup.
Good luck!
