I find so many things on www.craigslist.com
Many baby & childrens items are hardly used at all & you can get the best deals!
You can even post what you are looking for!
I am getting ready to move my 2 year old son from a toddler bed to a "big bed". He is tall for his age and has already started to outgrow the toddler bed! I am looking for a store that sells reasonably priced children's furniture. I love the look of Pottery Barn but can't afford the prices. Most places I have found online are fairly pricey also. Any suggestions of places in the valley or online sites?

Hi M.! When we moved my step-daughter into a big girl bed, we got her bed and some great storage shelves at IKEA. They have really fun beds for kids (hers has a SLIDE) for really reasonable prices. Good Luck!
Try some of the consignment places - I know Once Upon A Child has a pretty large selection of furniture, but there are probably others.
M.,
Many people like Pottery Barn...use Craigslist.com to find someone who is done with their set.
I have seen gorgeous bedroom sets for sale for a fraction of the price. I sold a dresser and mirror (never used) for less than 25% of the original cost through Craigslist just to get rid of it and have someone use it.
Good luck
Try Small Change at Scottsdale and Lincoln. It's a high quality kids consignment store. They usually have lots of bunk beds and some twins. Their stock is always changing since it is resale.
Ikea, Target-online, and walmart-online
With Target and Walmart you can read what others think of the product to help you decide, also I know Walmart has where it will ship your item to a nearby store so you do not have to pay shipping :)
We just recently did the search for a "big boy" bed as well and found the best quality at the best price at Pruitt's. It is downtown, but they really did have the best deal. The other places we looked were Oasis, Ashley, IKEA, and... shoot I can't remember the other place but it was in the same shopping strip that Oasis and Ashley were-by Superstition Springs Mall. We wanted a real wood bed to ensure it would last for the long haul and Ashley and IKEA's were mostly all particle board. So that's something to consider if you're worried about that. Good luck!
Ikea worked well for us. My son loves his bed and it was not expensive.
I am not sure where you are located, but there is a place on Higley and Warner in Gilbert called Cortate Furniture and they have the best prices on EVERYTHING. They only mark up their cost about 10-15%. They are only open certain hours and you have to will have to call and find out what they are. Also, it's not your typical furniture store. You go and look through catalogs and pick out the furniture you like. They know a lot about what they are selling, so just ask. They are very honest and pleasant to deal with.

I have always had really good luck with Costco or Costco Home Store (Tempe). They have really nice furniture and at a reasonable price. Plus they stand behind their products. I know that I just saw a cute dark blue twin bed with dresser etc there. Good Luck.
I absolutely love the bed that I bought from Kmart two years ago for my son. It is very high quality and it was around $200 for the bed. I thought that it was a great deal! When we first bought the bed a friend asked me how we afforded a Pottery Barn bed, I said, "We didn't!" It really is that nice. I am not sure if they still sell the bed at Kmart, but the one we bought was the same blue that you see in Pottery Barn. They also had it in a honey wood and they had girls beds as well. It was in the baby section of the store. I hope this helps and that you are able to find a bed that will suit you. They also had matching night stands and a dresser, but I am not into all matching furniture so I can not speak for the quality of those items.
I like IKEA. We even found a bed for my daughter in the "AS IS" section. It had a scratch on the back part (the part that faced the wall) and it was already assembled. We saved over 50% the bed was like $40, with a mattress!
