I was wondering if anyone here knows of a good pediatric gastro doctor. My son is 8 years old. We have only lived here a little over 2 years, so I am not that familar with finding a good doctor for this problem. I don't want to just take him to anyone. He seems to have had this problem since he was little and it seems to be getting worse as he gets older. Oh, wanted to mention I live in Aurora Co. So I need a doctor within close promity of Aurora , Co.

Thanks,
D.

I go to a family physician called Ponderosa on Hampden and Chambers area. They are great and they do specialize in pediatric field. My dd loves them and has been more comfortable than any other pediatrics office. I use Draper or Gaede if I can. I do not have there number with me at the moment but it is Ponderosa Family Physicians.
My mother in law loves cherry creek peds but i never been.

Call Children's Hospital in Aurora and ask them for their gastro dept - then talk w/the scheduler there. I'm sure they must have several on staff that you can see.

My son and daughter both have a gastrointestinal disorder and we see Dr. Glenn Furuta at Children's Hospital. He runs a clinic there that specializes in the disease (Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis), but I do believe he sees patients with other GI problems as well.

Otherwise, we have also see Dr. Jeffrey Rosensweig and have heard good things about Dr. Stathos -- both are pediatric GIs. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions...

I have Kaiser, so I just knowof the Dr I have there.... HOWEVER when my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac 2 1/2 years ago, we did all the screening over at Childrens Hospital. They were wonderful!! I can also refer you over to Eastern Med Dr.s as well if that is something you would be interested in. I know a lot believe in it, a lot dont so I dont just toss that out there.

Can you tell me more about your sons issues?? Have you ever looked into the possibilty of celiac? A lot of people have the wheat and gluten problem but it is highly under diagnosed. I am more then willing to talk to you about it via email, or even by phone or since you are local, even to sit down over coffee is great with me. Please keep us posted on your sons progress. I hate to hear that a kiddo is not feeling so well and with my own history of GI issues, I can definatly feel for the guy.

Bright Blessings,
K.
