Hi Moms -

Does anyone know of a great park or other location in the Farmers Branch/Carrollton (or even Coppell) area for an outside photo session? We're having some family portraits done this weekend and I would love to do it outside.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You may want to scout the series of parks at the intersection of Valley View and Hopkins. Also, Farmers Branch Historical Park is south of there off Farmers Branch Road.

There is a farmer's branch historic park, my daughter's 1st grade class went last year for a field trip, it is very picturesque. They still have the log homes from the 1st family who moved to Dallas way back when.

Farmers Branch has a beautiful historical Park with great structures and gardens. I have had pictures taken there, and it is a great backdrop. They do not charge.

Not where you mentioned, but in Addison there is a beautiful park on Quorum just north of Keller Springs that a lot of people use for pictures.

Mallon Park off of Josey and Farmers Branch Lane area. Also, Gussie Field might have some spots in the FB area. In Carrollton I don't think there are too many spots except maybe that area that is Plano/Carrollton off of 544/Parker just west of Plano Presby Hospital. I don't know much about that park but I've heard it is very nice and have seen it from the street. The outskirts of the park are very nice. I think this is a conservation type of park.
