I am looking for a new Pediatrician on the East side Reynoldsburg/Pickerington area. I am having issues with the current one beacause of his inconsistant advice. I started when my son was getting his 6 month shots. The Dr said if he was too fussy to give him some Tylenol. I didn't think it was necessary because he was fine. At the next visit I asked about dosing for infant Tylenol and he said he doesn't recommend using Tylenol on infants. I asked why he recommended it before and he denied it. WHAT? Anyway, he had his 15 month appointment today and I told the Dr that my son had been getting up in the middle of the night due to teething and he said "Just give him some Tylenol before he goes to bed and he should sleep through the night." This is complete BS, I don't think I should give meds to my kid just so he can have a peaceful night sleep. The Dr also insenuated my son my have a development delay because he not saying enough words and had me fill out a questionaire that defined autistic characteristics. I was completly offended because he is a normal, happy, playful, social, active 15 month old boy. It's not like he doesn't talk at all, he chatters all day and says the basics, mama, dad, cat, dog, kitty and is working on lots of different words. Anyway I have had enough I would like a recommendation for a great Pediatrician. Thanks so much ladies for letting me rant and rave.

What can I do next?

Pediatric Associates,Inc 1310 Hill Rd. I have seen many of the Dr.'s and liked them all.Also-I have 2 children (4y/o and 2y/o). At the 2 y/0 check-up I was asked to answer questions regarding behaviors that are similar to children with autism. I was not asked to do this with my oldest at his 2 y/o check-up. My point---I think this a new screening tool. I hope this makes you feel a little better.

I take both my kids (8 & 13 months) to Pediatric Associates in Pickerington.###-###-####)My 8 yr old daughter sees Dr. Julie Dunlea and my 13 mon old son sees Dr. William Long. I have been happy with both of them. What I like is that there are multiple doctors there so if my kids are sick, I can usually get an appt w/one of the many Dr's that same day.

I was in a similar spot you are and wanted to switch pediatricians. Three of my friends (with kids ranging from newborn to 8 years old) go to Canal Winchester Family Health. Two of my friends see Dr. Scudder, my other friend sees Dr. Bowser. When I called them, they informed me that Dr. Scudder is not taking new patients at this time but Dr. Bowser is, so I decided to go to her. She is fantastic!!!! I love her and my son loves her!!! (My son is 18 months old). We started seeing her for his 15 months appointment and have seen her a couple of times since (one sick visit) and the 18 months check-up. My son does not speak yet and Dr. Bowser has given me all kinds of ideas on how to stimulate and help him which has been great. She did tell me that a lot of kids have a word "explosion" between 18 and 24 months. She does have kids evaluated at 24 months if they are still not speaking. With my former pediatrician, if we had an emergency or urgent situation, I had to call the answering service after-hours. With Drs Bowser and Scudder, you can talk to either one directly (depending on who has the emergency phone). I would highly recommend Canal Winchester Family Health. Even if you just go to meet and interview them, you would not be disappointed. Their number is ###-###-####.

I LOOOOOOOOVE my kid's pediatrician, Dr. Miller Sullivan at Provider Physicicans East on Main St just east of Brice Rd. Their number is ###-###-####. I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room and usually they come out before I even sit down. It is a small practice. There are 4 doctors, two of whom are pediatricians and two who are internists. Dr Sullivan makes my kids so comfortable, my 4 year old pretends to get sick just to go see him, and my 23 month old gives him a big hug on the neck...so cute!
Also, it sounds to me like your son is fine...don't let him plant seeds of worry in your mind!

I LOVE our pediatrician! Her name is Dr. Ann Croft, and she is with Pediatric Associates Inc. We live in Reynoldsburg, and she is at their office in Whitehall, on Main St just before Hamilton Rd, so it's just a short drive. I know that the group does have an office in Pickerington (on Hill Rd. across the street from Kohls) but not sure if she is there on any days. We've been with her from the beginning, and she is wonderful with my boys, and always takes the time to answer any ?? that I have as a parent. I highly recommend her!
