I have an 8 week old baby girl and am facing having to return to work very soon. My daughter was born premature and is very small. Too small for day care. Now I am unexpectedly looking for someone to care for her in my home four days a week or someone who cares for a small number of children in their home. I have not been in the Memphis area long so any referrals or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Have you been told about the Tennessee Infant and parent program "tips"? Your dr. usually refers you? It is a free service for premature babies. My mother works there, they send out RN's to your home once a week to teach you how make sure your premature baby will not be delayed in his/her learning? The service is in Mississippi also.
