Baby Bjorn makes nice potties... there are 2 different ones depending on how big she is. My son was on the smaller side, so I got the small one (only $10) as he grew that became the one we used in the car....
My daughter has recently showed an interest in using the bathroom (yipee!) She's got the idea right..she says "poo" and grabs her diaper, then runs to the bathroom and tries to climb on the seat. unfortunately for us she says/does it after she's already gone. Anyway, i had several different potty seats for my son and wasn't happy with any of them. .Does anyone have any suggestions? She's a very curious little girl, so if it has a lot of parts/peices she'll take the whole thing apart and it'll be more work than i can handle right now. But she's also pretty big, so those little Baby Bjorn things that are one peice might be too small for her big tush. Any recommendations?

I got my son the Fisher Price (I think) potty that "flushes" and sings a silly song, but we both hated it. So, we ditched that for various reasons and went with just a padded seat from Target (possibly Circo brand) that goes on the big potty. It doesn't attach so we take it on and off each time my son potties, but he loves doing that part. I also got a little step stool for it, which we use at the sink too...
good luck-

Why not bypass the potty seat and use a step stool with one of the cushioned potty seats that you just drop onto the toilet? My kids have done it that way and it saves us the trouble of cleaning out a potty seat!

I have a child size potty seat with handles that sits right on top of the regular seat. It is easy clean (clorox wipes or hose it down in the tub if bad mess). Both my girls have used it. It is cussioned and the baby (2yo) loves to sit and be able to hold on. we are working on potty training and it is one piece so she can't take it apart (she too would have it in pieces all the time) and she can also put it on the potty herself. She needs help getting on it but she loves it! It is older but I have seen them in Walmart, Target and Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory) many even have characters such as Dora and SpongeBob if that is incentive! A.
My Daughter is 16 mos old and is doing the same thing. we got her the Fisher-Price Fun To Learn Potty and she loves it. She's grabbing the diaper as well but only after she's gone but she has peed about 4 times especially when we're getting ready to bathe her. It plays music and makes flushing noises. So I recommend it highly :)
Good Luck.
What about the one that One Step Ahead offers. It's a little ladder with a pott seat attached that goes over your toliet. Here's the link:

Try this. It's all one piece.
I have the Boon potty chair and i like it. it is a bit bigger than the traditional ones, but seems to be comfortable. it can also be used as a step stool. we also have the elmo one and the diego one. i don't like the elmo one, the part you sit on is very shallow- not big enough for my boy and he is small. the diego one seems decent and it comes with stickers etc. i would take your daughter to help pick it out, it makes a difference.
Baby Bjorn also has a bigger potty seat with a removable "bowl". I use that one for my twin girls-they are almost three and haven't had any comfort issues with it. I ordered them from Target online. Good luck! I am wishing now that I had started training a little younger with mine!
Hi K.
check out the flip n flush. It goes right on your toilet, and does not interfere with the reg. seat or lid. We love ours. Very convenient, no cleaning the potty, etc..You can find it at www.flipnflush.com Good luck.
I just bought the graco one at Babies r us. It was only 19.99 and the part you sit on will also go onto the regular toilet. I had it for my older girls and now I bought a new one for my younger kids.
I bought a potty chair that doubled as a step stool from Walmart. The seat was detachable so you could put it on the big toilet and use the potty chair as a step stool up. My daughter switched back and forth between her potty and the toilet so it was nice to have one that could do that. BTW-the fact that she is telling you that she went is a huge step in the right direction! Good luck!
