My husband and I have not been to church since we were little, I know it is terrible. Now we have to wonderful babies (a 2 1/2 yr old son and a 7 mo old daughter) and I think it is time we get back to church. Until recently I have always worked every Sunday and getting to church during the week was almost impossible. We are ready to start anew and I am looking for either Presbyterian or Methodist church in the 75034 zip code. Any reccomendations would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

I'm not sure where 75034 is. We attend Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano and really enjoy it. It offers so much for families and singles alike. There are many opportunities to get into God's word and really learn as well as find a place to serve and fit in whether you enjoy being with people or behind the scenes. Bible Fellowship classes vary in sizes and times. We have Saturday and Sunday services and a campus in Prosper. Here's the website to see a smattering of it. www.prestonwood.org

it is not in your zip, but Christ UMC at coit and parker in Plano is fantastic! Plenty of great stuff for parents and kids. Wonderful people. There are a good number of Friscoites that attend church there.

Not in 75034, but close by in The Colony. We attend Horizon's church which is a Wesleyan Church. You can feel free to email me and/or check the website at www.thinkhorizons.com. Our family has attended for over 2 years, it's a wonderful, community focused church!

If you are still searching for a church, I would love to recommend mine. It is called Crosswalk Fellowship a Seventh-day Adventist Church. It's a newer church plant, that is it started from a larger church in Richardson. We're about 80 + and would love to have you. We are mostly made up of young families, so lots of kids running around.

We have, in my humble opinion, one of the best kids programs around for pre-schoolers. Our Beginners class for ages 0 - 4 1/2 reaches kids at their level with lots of songs and hand held props. I'm one of the teachers & in charge of putting the programs together. I have 3 kids of my own (7, 5 & 3) who are my "testers".

Right now we meet at the Ivy Center School at the NE corner of Custer & Alma in Plano, but on Nov. 8, we will be leasing a church located at:

4659 Coit Rd
Frisco, 75035

Located just north of 121 on Coit, near Centennial Medical Center.

The Worship Service is Saturdays 10 am

Study Groups are 11:45 - 12:30

I would recommend coming to the Beginners class at 11:45. It's a great introduction & not too overwhelming if you haven't been to church in a while. Our current program for children is called My Happy Family.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

K.

S.....My husband and I (along with my 5 year old daughter, and 2 year old son) attend Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco.

Grace Avenue is a 10 year old church off of Main street, between Legacy and Teel. WE LOVE IT here.

THere are 4 services, Saturday at 5:30 and Sunday services at 8:45, 9:50, 11:00. The 8:45 service is a traditional service, the 9:50 is contemporary (we have a cool band) and the 11:00 is a brand new service that starts this weekend...not sure exactly what it will consist of yet.

Please let me know if you would like any more info about the church...I would love to chat!
