Looking for a Good Steam Mop for Wooden Floors

I am looking at the Haan. They have 3 models: the FS-20, SI-35 and the FS-50
I see a lot of reviews on the original model FS-20 and not too many on the other two. Look like the newer models are more of a different design and not much on performance. The water capacity of the newer models seem 1/2 of the original design. Does anyone know much on the other two? Any bad experiences?

I am looking to go GREEN for my little boy and for the environment and would like to do some extensive research on these mops before I spend the $$$. I saw the infomercials and they look very promising, but can't be trusted for the most part.

So What Happened?

Thank you all for the great response. I am leaning torwards the HAAN and see what happens.
Lori - you're right! I won't see much of the reviews on the HAAN because it is still new to the market. I will order it and will tell you how it went.

I just got the Shark and it works great. Nice and light and the pads are very absorbant. The floor doesn't get too wet so only takes minutes to dry. Mine even came with an attachment that you can use it on rugs and spot steam clean rugs.

I had never heard of this one. About 3 years ago I researched and looked around and talked to everyone and I decided and LOVE the Hoover Floormate. It picks up the dirt, scrubs, and steams. My 1st floor is almost 1000 square foot and after I got used to it I could do all of it without changing the water. I am not sure if you are set in the Haan (and it looks pretty cool) but I thought I'd through this out there

You won't find a lot of info about the Haan because they're a new company to the U.S., even though they've been doing business in Korea for a looong time. I think they're really the best out there, and they're so eager to break into the U.S. market that they're CS is amazing and the company is really dedicated to its customers. I'm getting a Haan next month because I've been dying to get a steam cleaner and I really think this is a great brand. They're re-energizing the steam cleaning segment, which had been kind of stagnant lately. Other companies (in the mainstream U.S.) are copying their designs and technology. That alone says something.

I had the hoover floormate, but I'm ready to sell it because I bought the shark and I love it (I also have a dyson, and a swiffer....which do the pickup). The machine is under $100 and comes machine washable pads. And no cleaner needed. I love it. Does a great job. Sometimes it will leave fuzz in the corners of the room, but I think that's because I either don't vacuum well enough beforehand, or the animals make such a mess that fuzz gets stuck to the floor which the steam mop picks up. I do love it. I will never use anything else. (BTW, never heard of the brand/models you are talking about).

Hi J.,
My friend swears by her Haan. I really want one too. She bought hers thru QVC.
Good luck!

Hi J.,

I have the H20 mop and I love it! You do need to replace the pads though because they do wear and break down. Not sure about the Haan though. I've seen it on TV and it looks like it works well too. My family has gone green too with an awesome company that I shop with! If you want information on it, I'd be happy to tell you about it.

Good luck!

K.
