We also have the Maclaren and have liked it. It's compact but comfortable.

Have you looked at the Baby Jogger City Mini? They are awesome and so worth the money. My fave lighter-weight stroller.
It is not an umbrella style fold, it is a book fold, but it does have the Baby Jogger easy fold - can't be beat. great sunshade, taller handle for taller parents, good basket and almost full recline.
I am a local (Royal Oak) mama and own a baby store - you can check out the BJCM here:

Hi Amy-
We have a Combi Helio stroller that we like so far. It was the only moderately priced stroller we found with the features we needed. Our son was born in December so we haven't had much chance to use it yet. We like it because it folds up small enough to fit into the back of my husband's very small car (Scion XA). It does fully recline, and the recline is very adjustable. It's also wider and cushier than an umbrella stroller, so I figure its more comfortable. The drawback is that the bottom basket isn't very big, and there is a support bar across it. We manage to stuff a not too full medium bag in the basket, which is all we need. Ours also came with a bag that straps to the handles. It has a large mesh pocket (big enough for a thin blanket), a pouch for keys, phone, etc, and a place for a water bottle. The whole thing unfolds really easily, and folding it is easy too, but I needed to practice a couple of times. It is fairly lightweight (about 13 lbs.) and has a carry strap. Hope this helps!

Try a Maclaren. A little pricey but well worth the money. Very compact and lightweight umbrella strollers. Most of the Maclarens recline but check which one you buy because some recline more than others. They also have taller handles. I absolutely love mine, still have it and it's going strong after 5 years and two kids, very durable!

I recently purchased a McClaren, looking for the same things you are looking. It works great! From my perspective it is worth buying the high end McClaren stroller for comfort for the baby. A big difference is the higher priced one has an additional padding that comes down where their knees are, therefore not cutting off at their knees. McClaren works great! Highly recommend!
