My husband and I are planning to put my 4 year old daughter in preschool this August. I am looking for a good school (that will not break the bank) in the Surprise area. I have only priced Tutor Time and Kinder-Care, and was a little shocked at the price! Any information would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

Hi T.,
I am going to copy and paste another Mom's answer to this question. I'm not sure if this will be the area you need, but she sure sings their praises, and really has had a great experience with them...not to mention the reasonable price. I'm going to put my son in this school when he gets to be 4. Here it is:
I have the perfrect solution for you. Work of Heart Learning Center is at 7717 W. Thunderbird. My youngest just finished there and she is so ready for kidergarten, both mentally and academically. They are the best, most wonderfully caring ladies that you could every have teaching your children. My biggest regret is that I don't have more children to send there. We had our oldest at Joy, and it was okay. We started our youngest at Joy and pulled her out because she wasn't learning ANYTHING. Joy was costing us $200/month for 2.5hrs 3 times/week and the tuition was going up. WOH was $180/month for 4hrs 3 times/week.
I could go on and on singing their praises. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Check them out, you won't be sorry.

School districts offer preschool sometimes. Also I put my son at Valley Child Care a few years ago and the price was much more reasonable and great enviroment. My second son will be four in August so I am also looking for preschool. Let me know if you find something that is great!

You might want to check out the Dysart Early Childhood Education Center. They enroll "typical" kids to serve as role models for their special education students and charge what I thought was a very reasonable fee.

My daughter was there last year for speech therapy and I was very happy with the program. Your experience might vary, depending on what kind of classroom your child is in of course, but it might be worth looking in to.
