We have just moved to Sherwood a week ago from California & are looking for a good pediatrician and pediatric dentist. Our son is almost four. Any advice would be appreciated. A recommendation for an OBGYN would also be helpful. Thank you!

As for OBGYN... I have a Nurse Practitioner (Carrie Dennison) who does all the same stuff... except probably deliver a baby and she's in the building next to the Children's Clinic in Tualatin at the Women's Health Clinic - ###-###-####. They have a lot of OBGYN's here too, but when I called last month, they were booked until JUNE!

Welcome to Oregon!! Hope you are liking it here. We have a great pediatric dentist - Michael Royse ###-###-####. He's downtown but worth the trip. I live on the east side and also love my pediatrician Dr Rupa Shah at Clackamas Pediatric Clinic. Might be a bit far for you to travel. I'm sure you'll get some recommendations closer to your home. How old are your kids by the way? My daughter is 5. I'm also looking for a new OBGYN so I'll keep my eye on the responses you get. Good luck!

Welcome to Oregon! Call the Children's Clinic of Tualatin ###-###-#### as they have a wonderful practice with lots of great pediatricians. My kids (ages 6 and 4) see Dr. Armsby but I know that many of the Drs there are fantastic. I'm sure you'll find one that is a good fit for your family.
In Wilsonville, there is a new pediatric dentist named Dustin James (Dentistry for Kids). My kids don't go there but we just went on a preschool field trip to his office and it was amazing! Lots of the preschoolers go to him and LOVE him (as do their parents.) Definitely worth checking out...###-###-####.

I love my pediatrician, Dr. Kate Wiggin. I interviewed 4 & she was the best, I have never been disappointed. She also does house calls! Her number is ###-###-####. Hi J.! Welcome to Oregon. I live in Tualatin, just 10 minutes up 99W from Sherwood. I also highly recommend The Children's Clinic. We have a 16 yr old son, 12 yr old daughter, and 1 yr old son. We've been going there for the last 10 years. They all see Dr. Dan Gleason. He is awesome. He offers a wealth of knowledge to any questions you have & you never feel rushed out of there. That said, all of the doctor there are wonderful! Over the years we've been seen by several others when Dr. Gleason was out, & I've never been disappointed.
For a great pediatric dentist, we see Dr. Ben Kang, just across the street from The Children's Clinic. (http://www.pediatricdentalclinic.net/) He & his staff are wonderful with children. Both our older kids actually enjoy going to the dentist & they've each had their share of fillings! We've been going to this office for the last 10 years as well.

Anyway the dentist I would recommend is Dr. Bittner. His web site is bittnerdentistryforkids.com. I took my 1 and 2 year old there and they loved him. He is patient, kind and very understanding of kids. I wrote about it on my blog caldwellcuties.blogspot.com. It was a little while ago so look on the side tabs for his name and it will take you right to the experience.
As for a peds and an OBGYN I have Kaiser ins. If you do also let me know and I will pass on our two dr. I stay with Kaiser just for the 2 drs. I have they are amazing.

Looks like you are getting a lot of great suggestions. I too HIGHLY recommend The Children's Clinic (www.childrens-clinic.com/) in Tualatin we see Dr. Gleason...my son has special needs and they are such a phenomenal group who are available ALL the time. We have been seeing Dr. Gleason now for about 5-6 years and actually moved back from Seattle because we couldn't find a pediatrician that supported our needs as well as Dr. Gleason. Not to mention he has amazing connections with many many other docs in the area which makes getting referrals for other needs very easy.
Our dentist is also, by far, my favorite so far...and we have seen many because of my son's chromosome abnormality his teeth have been a constant struggle. We see Dr. Brandon in King City (across from Albertson's on Durham Rd.) You can check out his website at www.drbrandon.com he and his team are great with the kids and the office is really fun...I have a serious phobia towards dentists and it even sets my mind at ease going in there. (ow...that reminds me I need to call for an appt).

If you don't mind driving one town over, Dr. Maya Manka in Newberg is AWESOME. She's been practicing for years. (She was my pediatrician when I was little and is now my niece's pediatrician.) She's at the Newberg Pediatric Clinic. Newberg is about a fifteen minute drive from Sherwood.
I also recommend The Childrens Clinic in Tualatin. My 3 children (9,4 and almost 1) see Dr. Kilty there. All the doctors there are awesome, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else!
