I live in Tamarac & would like to find a good internal medicine Dr. for myself & my hubby. I would prefer a woman but would also consider a man. I would like someone who takes time to listen to you, where you don't feel like your rushed & end up forgetting to tell them things.

I like Dr. Lea Harracksingh in Plantation. Very thorough and patient. She is also a mommy to a young child so she understands mommy like issues and doesn't bat an eyelash if you have a little one accompanying you on your visit.
Ok so I understand where you are coming from with wanting a woman but this Dr. came highly recommend to me years ago when I was having gallbladder issues and ovarian cysts, that I did not want to have surgery for. He’s pretty young (late 30’s - early 40’s) and super easy to talk to. Though his specialty is internal medicine he is also our primary care physician. I have followed him all over the place he is amazing and I truly LOVE him. He is now permanently in Boca, but honestly anywhere is about a 20 minute drive around here so if ya hop on the turnpike your there in 20-25 minutes. My husband, my mom, several friends all go to him. He will spend tons of time with you and answer all 100 ?'s you have never mind do the usual life chit chat. He is the only Dr. in his office now, so sometimes you have to wait 10-15 minutes to see him but it is totally worth it! If you ever need a same day appointment they will always squeeze you in. Everyone in the office is super nice too! Ok so enough with my rave review! LOL!!!

I hope you would consider Dr. Bender. His office is on University Drive a little north of the hospital. Not only is he wonderful, but so is his staff (which is rare in Florida).
