A lot of high schools have preschool programs where there is a pre-school teacher for the entire time and the high school students who are interested in becoming early education teachers participate in a class where they come into the preschool with prepared lessons, activities, games, etc... Both of my sons have participated in this type of preschool. I really like it because they get to interact with so many people on so many different social levels. Also, they usually get plenty of help (there are 2 high school students per child in my son's right now) when needed and the high school students love to play with the kids. I also like it because it is regulated and maintained so I know they are following a curriculum and learning things that will help them in the following years. My older son went to one at Lehi High School (no longer operating) and my second son goes to one at Timponogos High School ( 1600 N orem) but a lot of the high schools have similar programs. Also, the cost of preschool is much lower than a private run school.
sorry so long...hope it helps
