Now that my son is sleeping through the night on occasion, I am looking for a good overnight diaper that comes in a size 2 (he's 15 lbs). It needs to hold a lot of pee, as he sleeps from about 7 pm to 6 am. I've tried a quick, quiet change part way through the night, but he wakes up and gives me the most mischievous grin and is terrible to put back to sleep!
I'm going to go with the cloth diapering moms on this (I cloth diaper my 21 month old and will CD his brother due in Jan).
We use Fuzzi Bunz mostly but I have used Bum Genius and they are both great for overnight use! I've never had a leak.

We use Huggies overnight, with an insert. But the diaper is so heavy, that my son still wakes up for a diaper change.

B., I use the Huggies overnight diapers. They work the best as opposed to Pampers evtra protection. Both of my boys developed rashes from Pampers extra anything. I also noticed that Fisher Price put out a case of diapers that has both regular and overnight diapers. Haven't tried them yet. but the Huggies work best for me and my boys sleep 10+ hrs per night. good luck

I used Huggles overnights and they worked well.
Make sure his weenie is pointing down when you put a diaper on.
You could look into using a diaper doubler.
And work on perfecting that stealth middle of the night change!

I would try Pampers Swaddlers (LOVED THEM) now and when he gets older try the Huggies Overnights.
I used them both on my son who is now 2.5 and is in the Huggies Overnights now. He sleeps about 11 hours a night. Be sure to turn the front flap of the diaper down/under to capture the pee.
Good Luck!!!

I think at his age, you probably won't find overnight diapers that are small enough for him (they start at size 4 if I remember?), so your best best is to simply put a size bigger on him at night (a size 3). My daughter currently wears a size 4 during the day, and I just put her in a size 5 at night (as the Overnight Diapers cost more, so why pay that when a bigger diaper does the trick?). Best of luck!

I don't know if you shop at acme...or if they still have them...but i love d baby basics. They were the only generic brand that ever worked for me. They make an overnight diaper that was great. I was a big fan of pampers but with my fourth became a pro and saved money :)

We cloth diaper and have almost never had a leak--like maybe twice in his 2 years. With the pocket diapers (like Bum Genius or Fuzzi Bunz) you can double the stuffers and not have any leaks.

You could either get a diaper a size bigger to put him in before bed on put on two diapers. put one on the regular way and the other one backwards. I would also limit his liquids before he goes to bed.

Huggies overnights with a Diaper Doubler insert. I found them at Babies R us and at Wegmans. This worked for the worst leaks. Boys seem to leak more than girls.

I've tried every diaper, they all seem to leak through overnight. So I bought pull ups, they seemed to work just fine plus they tear on the sides, it's easy. :-)

I agree with a few others - Huggies overnites work really well. I would tend to go one size up in those too. That insures that it should hold up overnight!

You're going to find varying opinions as each family has their favorites and each child is shaped different. We always use Luvs for my 14 year old and my 5 year old triplets. They came in different shapes and always went back to Luvs.
I would buy Huggies overnights or goodnites they come in a purple bag. they worked amazing for my son!

I use seventh generation. You can find them at Babies R Us. They are an all natural diaper so there are no harsh chemicals and no chlorine which causes diaper rash. They are finding that these chemicals that they put in other diapers like pampers, huggies, are causing harmful effects to our children. Even cancer causing situations. I won't use any other diaper and by the way my little girl is in a size 3 and she goes all night and we have not had one leak. These are MORE expensive, but worth the worry-free of all the nasty chemicals. Please don't think that I think badly of those of you that use pampers, etc, this is just MY opinion. Good Luck

have you considered using cloth diapers overnight? The great thing about them (other than the fact that you don't have to keep buying new diapers) is that you can add more layers to the diaper to increase the absorbancy that you need.
At night, I use a type of diaper called "Pocket diapers" its a waterproof shell with an attached microfiber liner. The microfiber stays dry to the touch against baby's skin, and the outer shell keeps all the moisture in. You can then fill the pocket with various inserts to hold the moisture. I use a microfiber liner combined with a hemp liner -- the hemp is very absorbant, and works great for me overnight.
There are a lot of different brands of pocket diapers. The one I use is called "Bum Genius" and with it's adjustable sizing, it can fit a baby anywhwere from 8 lbs up to 35 lbs.

When my daughter was little (in size NB-2 diapers) I used Pampers Swaddlers during the day and night and never had leaking problems. When she went up to size 3 (which they don't have in Swaddlers) I originally switched to Pampers Cruisers. They leaked every night! I recently started putting her in Pampers Extra Absorbancy at night (the smallest size is size 4). These are great! No leaks at all!

We have always had good luck with pampers. (Swaddlers for when they are little and then graduating to Cruisers.) I did find that with my second son, we had some leaking during overnights, but we switched him up a size and it took care of the problem. (The Pampers sizes run by weight, and there is a pretty big overlap. I always stuck to the smaller size previously b/c my first son had these skinny little legs, and if he would have a poopy diaper, it would leak out. But, my second son rarely has a poopy diaper at night - and is a chunky monkey -, so we use the smaller size during the day and the larger size at night for some extra absorbency. Knock wood, its worked very well!)
Good luck to you! For me, 5mos old is when it really starts to get fun!

I always used papmers but they would sometimes leak at night. My kids had very skinny legs and nothing else fit them as tightly. The solution was to wear a cloth diaper cover over the diaper as a precaution - it wold catch any leaks that might happen.

We use cloth diapers and my favorite for overnight are by a WAHM. You can get them at www.hyenacart.com under the name Bagshot Row Bamboo. They are the BEST! My daughter sleeps 12 hours with a bottle in the middle of the night and no change - there is never a leak with these babies :)
