I have looked online and the CARES restraint is sooooo expensive, but seems like a great alternative to carrying a carseat around the airport. Does anyone have a CARES child aviation restraint system for sale, or rent? :-D
Thanks to everyone who responded! I ended up lugging the carseat around the airport and onto the airplane. It was a big, big hassel, but I felt better knowing that my carseat was intact and undamaged when we arrived at our destination. (I didnt want to check it as luggage for fear of damage) My son also did not even try to get out of his seat, he was used to his carseat, so he was familiar with it.
We have one and its ok... I will tell you that if you have a crafty kid who can figure out things fast it will be a big ole pain in the tushie and I tend to fight him unbuckeling it during flight.
Where do you live? Maybe we can lend it to you for a trip before you buy!
Sarah, we have a carseat that converts to a stroller. The wheels pop out of the bottom and a handle telescopes up. It is great for the airport and the plane.

I have one I would let you use depending on when you are traveling. We will be taking 4 flights over the next couple months and will need it then. If it doesn't conflict with our schedule and you make sure to get it back to me, I have no problem with you using it.
