I love, love, LOVE my GMC Acadia!!! I have three teenaged girls and there is plenty of room for their big guy friends to sit...even in the third row seat. Mine seats 8.
My husband and I currently both drive a van. He wants to look around for a car/suv instead of a van. The kids are 5 and 8 (8 year old twins). The twins are big enough that they don't need a booster seat but the 5 year old will need one for a long time still. Does anyone have suggestions? (I will still keep my van because I love it and we need the space when we travel).

Love my GMC Acadia. I have 2 little kids, and a large dog...and they all fit. And if the hound isn't with us, then grandma and grandpa can squeeze in too!
I have said it a million times and I will say it again...
Chevy Suburban!
Excellent SUV! Tons of storage, plenty of leg room and it is like driving a luxury sedan. Take one for a test drive and you will see...promise!
Hi M.,
I love my Chevy Traverse. Its great on gas, loads of options to fit within a budget, looks nice and is very comfortable for all (and it fits seven).
Good Luck with your search!
Ford FLEX. Great for hauling people and things. Also, it's built on a car platform, so you don't need a ladder to get into it. Buy American!!
I've heard good things about the Mazda 5- it's like a mini-minivan. It's roomy enough that you won't be packed in there, but it's smaller and more stylish than the true minivans.
If we weren't already a family of six with the possibility of being a family of seven, we would get a Mazda 5. We're even tempted to get one anyway, but it just doesn't make sense for us. However, I've test driven one and LOVED it. It drives like a zippy little car (which was fun after driving a van for the last five years), but it holds six people. The big downside is that the very back seats (it has three rows of two seats) don't have a great deal of leg room and can take some maneuvering to get into for an adult (or a tall teen). But it has a lot going for it too (like pretty decent gas mileage and a lot of flexibility in its use).
Love the Toyota Sequoia and 4Runner
we are a family of 5 and I LOVE my suburban!
I drive a Ford Flex and LOVE it. It hold 7 passengers and is a GREAT ride. All seats fold completely flat for hauling something like a kids bike. Lots of space in the back seats for the kids. And great space for grocery's. Very solid, safe, qulaity SUV. My lease is up in Oct and I plan to get another unless I can afford the new Explorer...those look sharp :)
