I am looking for some sort of cabin resort getaway in October for my family. Something that has stuff to do on the premises like hiking, fishing, bike riding ect. We have two kids 5&4, so it would need to be a fun getaway for kids & adults. I would like it to be only a couple of hours from Phx. Oh and not too expensive. Thanks for any ideas and suggestions.

Hi!

Have you tried looking in Flagstaff? Maybe contact a local realtor up there to see if they know of furnished rentals.

Good luck!

Try www.vactionrentals.com or www.vrbo.com. I had great luck with the first. Good luck.

Try looking online at the Greer Lodge - I've never personally been but have heard wonderful things about it!

I second both Greer and the Circle Pines KOA. Look at www.greercabinkeepers.com for a big selection of cabins. And we go to the Circle Pines Campground at least twice every summer (for at least the last 4 years). We stay in the Kamping Kabins too. It's the best campground in the area. Have fun!

I have also heard Greer is really nice. We just got back from cabin camping in Williams at the Circle Pines KOA. They have little cabins with a double bed and bunk beds. There are heaters in the cabins as well. There are NICE bathrooms on site as well as showers. There is an indoor heated pool, playground, mini-golf, bike track with bikes to rent, volleyball, horseback riding, hiking trail etc. It was only $60.00 a night. You have to bring your own linens and cook stuff. There is a fire pit and BBQ for cooking. We had a blast. I would love to go again next weekend. We have an almost 4 yr old and he had a BLAST! Good luck with whatever you choose.
