I use a gluten-free bakery. Not the same, but she might know of the type you're looking for--http://marysglutenfree.com/.
Bethenny Frankel does that kind of cooking. Maybe she has some links at her site.
Hi Moms!
This may be a shot in the dark, but I would really like to find a baker/bakery who bakes grain free cakes (using almond flour or coconut flour) and who also uses natural-based food dyes for the colors. One of my daughter's birthdays is coming soon, and I would love to find someone who makes cakes using these criteria. Thanks for your time and help!
Lisa :)

I can't help, but maybe try calling several bakeries in your area. We found one in Ohio that could modify recipes and had one that was much better for.diabetes. Good luck in your search.
I don't know if they meet ALL your requirements (I imagine the natural dyes will be the hardest part), but someone recently mentioned the Cupboard Natural Foods grocery store to me. This person was looking for a gluten free and vegan cake and she was able to find it there. They may be able to help you out or lead you in the right direction.
Your best bet is going to be to make your own. Unless it's a dedicated GF bakery, the risk for cross-contamination is VERY high, and even in GF cakes and baked goods, you generally have rice, corn, etc...other GF grains.
You can buy alternate flours at most grocery stores and health food stores, and with a little experimenting, you can come up with a delicious recipe of your own. Your most important ingredient is xanthan gum, as it holds together your ingredients as the gluten normally would.
Sorry I can't be more helpful in finding a ready made, but I don't have anything ready made near me and have always had to bake my own.
Have you found one ?
My son can't have dairy , soy , gluten , or wheat and cooking three meals a day getting old. Especially when he is a picky eater .
When I have spent all day cooking fabulous new homemade muffins out of apples I've preened by hand, and added a crunchy cinnamon crust I delicately laid on each one, i stand there longing for that twinkle of excitement from him when he takes his first bite. Then, when he simply shrugs a shoulder and says, "Hmm, their OK" , I want to scream and rip off the little bit of crust left sitting on his lip and give him a lecture on the four hours it took me to make the four batches of muffins for the freezer so he could have these treats for breakfast. It also makes me want to serve him the same cereal for three days. However, I turn around and put myself through the same torture the next day. This cycle has , needless to say, tested my patience in our kitchen and Ive also run out I'd time and ideas so and help would be much appreciated. Kat
I realize you're in Denton, but you might want to try Charity's Gluten Free Treats, (inside The Cookie Machine), at 2304 West Park Row in Arlington, TX 76013. They are very careful to keep their products separate from the "regular" ones that The Cookie Machine makes. We discovered them when my daughter had to start eating gluten free. Their products are delicious! A bit pricey, but much better than having to search products and make your own! They have their own website....http://www.charitysglutenfreetreats.com.
Their phone # is ###-###-####.
Try Stir Crazy Bakery. It is Fort Worth just south of downtown not far from I-35W. www.stircrazybakedgoods.com
She does flourless, vegan, natural dyes....I am sure she can help you.
We follow the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and I have looked for bakery that could do such a cake, but also with honey instead of sugar, etc. The only place I found was online and it was expensive so I made my own.
I can't find the site now, but found this one http://www.scdbakery.com/6m7/cakes.html
Not sure about frosting, but I did a purple cake for my daughter with dye made from cabbage...used the tip things to make flowers, etc and was surprised how well it came out. She loved it. I can send you the cake recipe if you want....it was a layer cake...I think I have it pinned under SCD desserts at www.pinterest.com/susancdb. Blog is called Roost, if I remember correctly. Having trouble typing this from my phone or I would try to find the direct URL.
Good luck.
I would just start calling around. You'd be surprised at how helpful places can be. But consider that they would use pans that will have traces of residue.
Have you tried to order anywhere online?
How about a flourless chocolate cake? Ummmm...delish.
