Hire a face painter (I'm one and I just got hired for a first grade festival. Set up some other stations for games and crafts. rotate them every so often so everyone gets a chance to do everything.
I have been signed up to be in charge of the 3rd grade end of the year class party. Does anyone have any great ideas? We will have access to outside if it is nice out. There are 24 well behaved kids. Thank you for your help.

I remember when I was in the 3rd grade and had an end of year party. We walked to a nearby park and had pizza and salad. Played till we dropped then were rewarded with icecream in the end. I remember parents had to pitch in some money to help with the expense. I have some fun ideas that are always a hit if you would like to raise some money for it. Let me know.
I'm in charge of the second grade party this year. I'm keeping it simple! We're doing an ice cream party and the kids are bringing their favorite toppings. They still enjoy good old fashioned games like tug of war, sack races, 3 legged races, and parachute games. We usually are low on class money at this time of year, so it helps to just focus on the fun and not all the fluff and feathers. Not only that, but it's not always easy to find parents to help. Many of them work. Have fun whatever you do and don't forget to take pictures!
A hawaiian party, everyone can wear a flowered shirt if they have one, a lei, and you can have fresh fruit, or make fruit pizza. You could have hula lessons for those who want to try it.
Please let us know how it went,

Water Balloons are always a hit!
Guitar Hero Party if you need to stay inside--that is HOT this year!
Yes, like the other Mom said walking to a park--and you could have a cook out!
When my 2 kids were in 3rd grade, for one we hired a magician and served popcorn and had an ice cream sundae "bar". For the other we did tug of war, limbo contest, sack races, all with a Hawaiia theme. they all received leis, served "mango juice", fruit kabobs, gave them all beach balls they could blow up and have their classmates sign, stuff like that. Many of them still talk about both of these ideas. Hope this helps
Chuck E Cheeses, bumper bowling, McDonald's, any of these kids play area related places. They all have birthday packages.
I just heard one this morning! Fear factor theme! Mud racing-goldfish bobbing etc! It sounded like a blast!
