Have you tried www.realtor.com? You can put in your price range and bedroom/bathroom requirements and it will bring up lots of results. There is a tab at the top of the page called "rentals".

Just an FYI!!!
WE moved up here from south texas a year ago and the original home we rented ended up being a scam! The ad was found in the dallas morning news! My friend that lived up here even went and looked at the house! We had everything we owned in a uhaul truck, 4 kids, and a cat...pulled up to the house and nothing...people were still living there, the "landlord" was no where to be found, and we were out almost $2000!! Turns out, upon further research, he has done this before...his name that he used was Dan Haskett. Just be careful and do your research before agreeing to anything....

I have been looking at homes too, and have found a couple of websites with rental houses on them. www.rentalhomes.com & www.homerental.net Also try the newspaper, there are always people renting homes in there. Sometimes you can get them to work with you on the credit thing. Good luck and happy house hunting!! :)

You can also try http://www.dallas.craigslist.org, but be careful not to get caught up in a scam. Going through a realtor is probably the safest way and you are not out any commission because the realtor usually gets part of the first month's rent as her/his commission. Gordana Derek was my realtor and I found some listings on her web site above that were not on the other web sites.
