J.K.
I say you should make a CD of all your favorite 'songs' that used to be your and your husbands songs before you had kids. Then you can talk about the old times and laugh!!! If you fill up the CD, that would be about an hour!!
Dear Ladies,
My husband and I will be dropping our son off at Grandma and Grandpa's next week and then driving to Mobile Alabama. Needless to say, I will be a wreck because knowing me, I will haunt my self with the thought of not seeing my sweet little guy for a whole week! Why I do this to myself I don't know! We are going on a 5 day cruise with many friends! So just wondering if anyone would have any suggestion on keeping myself busy on our long drive. I also am not big on long road trips, after about 3 hours I start getting very anxious!
I plan to read, do some work- Pampered Chef, watch a movie or two, suduko (sp), call a couple friends. I just worry this will get old fast. What other ideas might I consider!
Thanks so much!
OMG, these are all great ideas! Especially the books on cd idea, my husband will/can even enjoy while driving!!! Clipping coupons also, I have drifted away but want to get going again on that, so maybe I can start collecting them from friends in the next few days!
I also really appreciate the imput for my son, that is what will be so hard although I know better but I will miss him like crazy!
Thank you all, hope you all received your MamaSource flower!

How about a nice, kid free conversation with your hubby? There is nothing wrong with a little R & R and mom time! I always miss my kids, but the break in routine always makes me better focused when I return.
Enjoy it!
Don't think of it as leaving him, think of it as giving him a vacation as well! My kids LOVE their grandparent stays!
I don't know if you use coupons or not, but I use the trip to clip coupons and plan meals. Since hubby is right there and can't get out of the conversation, he helps me plan what he likes to eat.
We drive to Destin each year, so I understand the long, oh so long drive.
Another thing we do is crossword puzzles together. Gives the brain a workout and is fun to do with another person. Go to the Dollar Store and pick up a book to do together. Set a time limit to complete the puzzle.
Sorry if these sound geekish! Most important of all, ENJOY your cruise!! I'm jealous! Relax knowing that your little guy is going to be spoiled silly by g-ma and g-pa. He is in good hands and you DESERVE a break!! Have fun!
Well...whenever my husband and I take long road trips I don't really need anything to do, because I just enjoy our conversations w/ each other. I'm sure you probably have lots to talk about w/o a little kid interupting your time. I say just talk to him and enjoy the scenery.
