My husband and I want to buy our older 2 girls loft beds for Christmas but can not afford to spend $700/bed. Does anyone know of some good places to look for loft beds that are reasonably priced. BTW not IKEA. I am anti IKEA. So any place but there.

What can I do next?

We have been looking at them a lot for my older college age son. If you have anyone handy in your family, they are very easy to build. I would recommend that, if possible. Otherwise, craigslist for a used, nicer one.

Im not sure why you are anti IKEA but we got ours there for $185. My son loves it. The part underneath we turned in to a reading area. We did our own mattress though, I dont like theirs. Good luck searching :-)

We just bought one on craigslist, muchmore sturdy than the Ikea ones.
